Thanks alot! I fabbed, blasted, painted, powdered, and polished everything myself. It's in this months Dirtwheels magazine.

Hey guys,

I just joined today after reading for the last couple of hours and soaking up all this great info. You all do really nice work. I first came to this site looking for tips on how to polish the jugs on my bike. Now very inspired by Baz's work (incredible by the way) I really wanna polish my engine. I have plenty of time to do it (which I know I'm gonna need). I think the loss of surface area would be made up by the decrease in air turbulence (both minuscule amounts).

Me and a couple of my friends are working on choppin' Yamaha XS650's into hardtailed bobbers & choppers. One wants to chrome everything (which is ok) the others are on the fence between painting and polishing. I myself want to polish everything. Also what do you guys use or recommend to seal
with?

Hey guys,

Well just started to use this site in a bid to improve my polishing skills, some excellent work you guys have done.

Can I beg some advice.........I am polishing my MR2 Throttle body, and for the most I get a nice mirror finish, however the job is let down by the **** bits in the awkward to get to bits.....How do I get into all the nooks and crannies

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Graeme

Use the search function...you'll actually get a number of hits using "nooks and crannies", I would think. There's dozens of ways to approach it. Look at what's sold on this site and you'll have an idea what's available.

Many thanks, should of done that in the first place

Whilst I'm here, just looked at various companies selling the 1/2hp Bench grinders to convert to polishing, apart from the usual: "Caswell", "Machinemart", can anyone advise any other place/motor ??

Thanks

Graeme
