Hello, im new here. I had a question on how I should sand a casting in tight places. I have had many problems getting into the edges of lettering, and corners. I have found a few small grinding stones to use with a dremal, however it does not do a very good job. When i finally get to buffing, you can still see the roughness in those areas. Any ideas on tools or bits to use? I have been looking searching for head porting tools however i havent found anything that looks decent. I figure you guys are the ones to ask. Thanks Mike.

thumpinhard25,
First off read this post!MOTORCYCLE POLISHING 101 CLASS IS IN SESSION! Secondly, did I understand you correctly, that you are using grinding stones on aluminum, if thats what you are trying to polish? Don't the grinding stones load up on you? They make cartridge rolls that are a 1/4" in diameter, in different grits, that can be used on a die grinder. Also you can use these www.cratex.com. I don't think Caswell's has that small of cartridge rolls, look in the yellow pages under abrasives and see if someone local has what you need, or Google! John |
