Default Stripping Anodized Surface of Lip on Volk Wheels

I recently bent a rim on my car and had it sent out to repair. Well they are two piece wheels with a lip that i am 100% sure is anodized. Well to repair it they had to strip that anodized surface off of the lip and had no way to restore it. Well after i got it back i decided i liked the raw polished look better. The anodized surface seemed to scratch super easy. So i was thinking about stripping the anodized surface off the other 3 rims. I was reading about LYE a chemical used to strip this off. I don't really need to polish it all that much, just need to get the anodized surface off and then use something to shine it and then protect/seal it. Would LYE work, will it eat paint away if i accidentally get it on the spokes, They are powdercoated, or will it be beast to take the spokes out of the barrel of the rim? I don't know much about polishing and thought you guys would probably know how to do this. I am open to all ideas. Here is a pic of one of the wheels that still has the anodized lips.

TripleD,

I don't hardly think that if one part of the wheel is anodized that the other part would be powder coated.
Try this: get some Aircraft Paint Stripper try it on the lip and see if it removes the coating. If it does then you know it's all powder coated. If not, use some EasyOff oven cleaner(lye) and see if that will take the coating off.

I am 99% positive the spokes are powdercoated, they are true two piece wheels. I may try that, thanks.
