Default T409 Stainless exhaust polishing questions...

Greetings all!

I've got a new 409 stainless diesel exhaust for my truck. I'd like to polish the tailpipe and have questions.

I've got sisal wheels, spiral wheels, and loose cotton wheels. I've also got greaseless compounds in 180, 240, and 400. In addition, I've got a black bar, a brown bar, a white bar, and a blue bar. As well as some English Custom Metal Polish.

Can I use some combination of this to shine up my tailpipe?

Thanks to all!!
Andy

Depends - when you say it's a new item, does that mean it's never been polished but is otherwise perfect? What surface does it have now? That will determine where you start. If the surface is dull but not machiined or scratched you may get away with no greaseless, maybe just start with the black/sisal.

new meaning "new in the box". It's actually sill en-route via FedEx. I assume that it will have a dull finish with possibly some marks and what not on it.

I basically just need to know if what I can get by with what I have or if there is another compound or two that I will need. compatability-wise. I don't want to spin my wheels using things that aren't compatible with stainless. Make sense?

Thanks,
Andy

Good to hear. I reckon' I'll just have to wait until I receive the product, maybe take some pics, post them up and go from there.

Thanks!
