I have some stainless steel sheet stock in 0.001" and 0.003" thicknesses. I need to buff one surface only, down to a mirror finish (about 1 micro-inch RA or better). I have tried electro-polishing, however this leaves pitting on the surface that I can't afford to have on my parts.
What I'd really like is a service provider who can handle short runs of parts, say 5 to 10 12" square sheets per run. I've had fair success hand polishing some small coupons with some metal polishing compound, but this gets old quickly... Any suggestions? |
