Default MERCSVT or CASWELL this one's for you!

Does anyone have any thoughts on using the cloth finger wheel that is supplied with the caswell hand held buffer polisher kit? Is this something I would use with a greasless compound to rip the casting pits off a sporbike frame? Any input will help. You guys have helped more than you can imagine. Also, I have purchased the anodize remover. Any tips on how to use this and stay clean would help. MERCSVT & CASWELL, I know you two can help me. CASWELL, your trouble, it seems that everytime someone gives me a suggestion I end up makeing a purchase--LOL!

15 posts to graduate to member, 30 posts for the distinction of a senior member.

Re: finger buff/greasless/removing pits - yes -- buy lots and lots!

Re: anodize stripper. It's pretty simple, mix it up, dump in your part. Works best at warmer temps.

Staying Clean Wear some gloves. Seriously, it's not the nicest chemical to get on your skin. It's corrosive.

I can't dump in my parts. It will have to be applied. The motorcycle frame and swingarm is too big of a deall to strip down. Any suggestions?

Thicken the solution a little by boiling off some water or adding a thickening agent like cabosil (http://www.caswellplating.com/goldpl8.htm) then paint it on with a brush.

Spray it off with a hose, but make sure to capture the runoff. You'll have to rig a plastic bathtub or something similar.

Kind of wasteful, but if you can't dip it's the only way.
