Thread: Zincate pre-treatment

    Default Zincate pre-treatment

In your \"pick a kit helper\" it is mentioned that the zincate pre-treatment for plating aluminum can be colored.
What method is used to color the zincate. What results can I expect as far as even color coverage and durability?

I think you\'re confusing zinc with zincate. Zinc can be colored with chromates. Zincate is a temporary coating to prevent oxidation of aluminum.
