Default Finishing Stainless Steel
How do you refinish a satin-buffed stainless steel putter head?

I'd like to have it darker, maybe a smoky color or a black oxide type of treatment.

Can this be done easily?

Yes, and no.

Because it's <em>Stainless</em> Steel, it won't readily accept any refinishing treatments, but you could nickel plate it, then antique the nickel plate.

You'd need some Stainless Steel activator, a strike plate for Stainless, then nickel plate it. You'd then need some antiquing solution.
