If I am Chrome Plating or Anodizing aluminum, what can I put over parts to keep it from being plated or anodized. Example, if I don't want to change the finish over a screw hole or over a stamped stainless steel ring, what can I use to keep it from being received as well.
Would silicon work? any ideas are appreciated. Pat |

You can use Clear Lacquer to protect areas of parts you do not want to plate.
It can be left on after plating or removed with Lacquer Thinner. If you're going to plate with Copper...leave the 'resist' on it since you'll need to spray a coating of Clear Lacuer on the finished plating anyway to prevent it from oxydizing.
