OD Green Chromate on aluminium
Can the OD Chromate (ODK27) be used straight on aluminium, or does the aluminum have to be zinc plated first? I see there is an aluminum chromate, but I can't determine if these are similar concoctions.
Also, which offer the best corrosion protection? I'd assume the plated then chromated piece would withstand the elements better.
