3M Liquid Glaze Compound with Flannel Wheels? - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

Hi,

I am trying my new polishing arbor. I am planning to use a flannel buffing wheel in order to bring my drum shells to a high luster. The clear coated was sanded up to 2000 grit. Can I use 3M liquid compound to achieve it? Or do I actually need to use dry compound?

The liquid glaze will work. It's what I use to use on auto paint work. It will probably be a little messy. Be careful not to burn the coating. SS

My buffing whells will run at 860rpm. Do you spread the glaze on the surface or do you "soak" the flannel wheel with the glaze?

I use to spread it on the area being buffed.

when i buff out my painted and powder coated parts i use carnuba wax it makes them shine.
