Ceramic coating for wear

Does anyone make a ceramic coating that prevents wear like the plasma sprayed coatings ? I'm working on some aluminum parts, and I think I have the answer already, but I want a back up plan, the parts have a paper thickish black ceramic coating on them, very hard, durable, can't buff, sand or anything the stuff. In case my anodizing finish does not hold up, can I do the ceramic coating at home ? I really hope the anodizing does hold up, I have dumped a ton of money into an anodize setup
