Acid Dip For Brass Before Silver Plating
Hi
What is a good and readily available acid dip for brass before plating silver.I asume the acid step mentioned in most plating literature is about the same as a metal activator? Any help is appreciated.I am currently using an ACID DIP made by Midas it comes in powder and has to be mixed with water.Problem is it leaves a residue even after a pretty heavy rinsing under water. Anyone know of a better ACID DIP that won't cause such a problem with residues? Thanks Last edited by LeeAdams; 10-24-2005 at 10:34 PM.
