The manual says to mix the yellow chromate in a plastic (or ceramic lined) container, but to store it in a glass container.
Is it really necessary to store it in a glass container? I don't have anything I could use. Also, I'd like to just keep it in a plastic bucket with a lid so I don't have to transfer the solution everytime I need to use it. |

Because it is a chromate, it will eventually deteriorate plastic. It will take some considerable time, many years in our experience. We are just playing safe, suggesting you transfer to glass for long term storage.
