I'm making some various jewelry items and rather than the normal shiny bright silver finish I want them to have a dark purplish grey finish, almost stone-like satin finish. These pieces will be cast so metal thickness will not be a problem. Can I accomplish this with a silver blackening solution or woud I be better off to make them from a different metal?
