Paint adhesion on Aluminum
I am looking to obtain information on a pre-treatment process which will improve paint adhesion on aluminum. Our current paint application does not yeild the proper durability requirements requested by our customers.
I have read that there are several different rinses and prep coatings that can be applied to improve adhesion. I would appreciate any assistance in this matter. Thanks

Have you tried an epoxy primer. I used it on an aluminum bodied van I painted for a radio station and had no problems. Caswell has a zincate treatment for aluminum for plating. I don't know if it will work under paint.
