Brass Finishing
Hello,
I have some bike tire nipples that are made of brass and are chrome plated. I would like to know the best way to remove the chrome on these small parts ( 16mm long) and would like to know the best way and procedure for making them black to match my rims and spokes. Any suggestions and supplies needed? Thanks for your help! jaana

Why not just paint them black?
If you don't want to paint them, you need to first remove the chrome by dipping them in some chrome stripper. http://www.caswellplating.com/kits/plugnplate.htm or you can make your own stripper: http://www.caswellplating.com/salesq...swer.php?id=20 Then treat them with a brass blackener: http://www.caswellplating.com/aids/metal.htm
