Which finish is best for my needs? - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

I'm a newbie here and will be paying for my finishing becuase I only have a couple of things to work on. I have a motorcycle with aluminum passenger grab rails that came with a black anodized finish. I use a bungee net to secure my backpack daily and over time, the hooks have scratched the rails repeatedly and I'd like to have them refinished. I'm considering using a blue finish to match some accessories I've installed but sort of like the black finish to match the bike. I've also considered a polished aluminum look with some clear coat (or whatever finish is best) so if I scratch them again it won't show.

My specific question is: which finish is stronger and best serves my needs? Powder coat or anodizing?

If there are other options that may be superior feel free to let me know.

go with the powder coat for your application.
