Thumbs up Re: Vacuum Sand Blaster

promo.. a truck cab on a 3' stand looking in from the rear window makes a nice HUGE cabinet if you have an extra one kicking around??

Both doors become the loading areas.. you can hold an entire car-door or motorcycle frame in there easily.. just add some sort of hanging hooks to hold what your blasting or the item will be a pain to move around..

and it so big that there is no vacuum needed..

want example pics?

Great idea. A couple pics would be nice if you have some but I get the idea.

I don't have a truck cab handy I want to use for this right now, but I may be stripping a couple junk vans soon and was thinking about using the rear body section like this. Easy loading through swing open rear doors. I'll have to make the other end when I cut it though. I want the van frame from under it for a project.

Hey I'll probably get the PA Blaster plans and join up next week, I just got some nice plumbing tanks at an auction cheap and need to do something with them
I think they had something to do with water softeners, fiberglass tanks, should hold lots of media.

I tried the Harbor Freight one. I was quite dissatisfied with it and ended up returning it. That's the beauty of HF. The blaster just didn't have the power to do much. I ended up going back to my $20 Wal-Mart syphon fed (which I dislike almost as much as the HF one--go figure). The vacuum feature was definitely nice, though. BTW, my compressor is a 7.5HP, 80gal., 24.4cfm Ingersoll-Rand, so it wasn't a problem with having a wimpy compressor. Maybe the Snap-On blaster would do better; I'm a poor boy so I'll never know.

Convert that $20 Wal-Mart syphon fed thing to this:
