I bought the Ceramic coating from Caswell to use on my headers. After applying the coating I baked them for 1 hour first at 500 degrees F and they looked like gray primer. I blasted them, reshot them and baked for 2 hours at 500 degrees and they still looked like gray primer.
My instructions say afterwards to burnish them with steel wool and put in a tumbler. Is this the final step or am I doing something wrong? I don't want them to look like shiny chrome but have a little shine. Is that what the steel wool does? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Bill |

out of the oven it should look chalk white thats assuming you bought chromex.
aftre it comes out of the oven you can polish them with steel wool and metal polish paste. or use a tumbler. |
