I beleive that Caswell no longer sells the Cermakrome from Techline now they only sell Cerakote Chromex. How similar are these two products? I am concerned that Cerakote Chromex is not as good. Thanks for any input.
Thanks

No one has used both of these products? My guess is that they are probably just about the same but I would like to know for sure? Thanks
they are both practically the same and polish the same by hand
chromex is more user friendly and error forgiving
cermakrome you have to be more carefull appling it
how ever if you are polishing in a tumbler techlines hold better.
jtag, thank you for your reply. "More user friendly"...sounds great to me!I am going to be ceramic coating for the first time hopefully this weekend. I Bought a small hvlp detail gun, a spot sand blaster, and I should be getting my Chromex tommorow from Caswell! I'm excited about trying it out.
Thanks again.
it will look solid at the bottom and water at the top , that's normal
mixing it up takes some time , you have to mix it well till they become one part
some tips
part must be completely cleaned or it will crack in uncleaned areas
don't over build or it will crack
if you get runs clean the part and start again or if possible clean the run only, if you don't it will crack .
i use the gun at 50psi some prefer lower , but as some say "what works for you , is the best way to do it"

Thanks very much for the tips.
I have experience painting cars but I am not sure exactly what Chromex is going to spray on like... When you paint a car you are trying to get a uniform full coverage without any dry or overspray areas. I was under the impression that with chromex you are just looking to get coverage only and that overspray or dry areas were not really a concern because you will be polishing anywayIs that correct or am I supposed to lay it on like paint??
