Golf club refinishing with black oxide

I am preparing to refinish several sets of golf club irons that are made of 1025 carbon steel and chrome plated. I want to refinish them with the black oxide finish.

Is this finish durable enough for a golf club?

Will the finish chip or fade easily?

Does anyone have any suggestions for this project?

it is durable enough for a golf club, but if not properly maintained it will rust and chip

Will the cold black oxide treatment wear off on the sole of the club?
