Extrude honing at home?
I have some parts I would like to polish before plating (intake manifold, plenum etc) and was looking at extrude honing as the insides of these cast parts are complex. Anyone have any info on a way to do an extrude hone type polish job at home? I don't feel like shelling out $500 plus to have some silly putty with abrasive grit pumped through my parts.
I may start experimenting, but was hoping someone would have prior experience on the subject. A search revealed nothing... Maybe a new product from Caswell? I am a machinst by trade and have been thinking of ways to make a pump mechanism as well... probably with my 5HP Honda engine since I dismantled a go-cart.
