i remember reading on a forum, i'm pretty sure this one, about this chrome-looking stuff that was made, i think, by dupont. i think it could be applied to pretty much any substrate (maybe not plastics), i don't remember if it was applied wet or dry, and then it was cured in an autoclave or some "special" piece of equipment... the finished coating looked like chrome, but had more powder coat-like qualities (e.g. thick build (so it was good for castings and such), flexibility). a poster mentioned it was $100,000+ to get into this stuff. Somebody inquired about it, and i'm trying to find the info again for them, but it's eluding me. anyone know what i'm talking about?
