hsimmons,
Use a heat resistant "DAM" to confine your solder. They sometimes use that type of dam when they do auto body leading. What type of solder are you using?
John
I need to deposit solder onto the "tip" of a nickel plated brass part, but I need to control the amount of solder deposited so that I don't exceed the dimensional tolerances (+.015", -0.000").
The various methods & materials I've tried don't give me "repeatable" results. Any ideas on materials/methods to give me an even coating of solder which does not "glob" up into a "bull nose"?

I think the only way you can get that thin of a coating is to use a solder pot and dip the piece. What's the purpose of the solder?
