Default Thinking about a oven build

I am new here. Just found the site last week. I have been studying the PC business. I am thinking about building one off motorcycle racks and mounts.
I'm thinking about taking the parts out of a large free standing oven (cook stove) and using them in a new box (same cubic feet just a different shape).
The reason for the new box would be hanging space. I would need a tall but narrower oven for the kind of parts I am planning on building. I was thing about 16"-18" wide X 14" deep and 30" tall
Would the parts out of the large oven be enough to cure the powder?
The oven was on a 50 amp breaker.
I haven't got the stove yet. I do have a couple of old large toaster evens that might also work. I need to do this on a very low budget!!
Any advice would be great and helpful
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

This size oven won't require anything near 50 amps. I'm not sure what the function was for the oven you were planning to use as a donor, but it must of got to temp in a minute or 2.

18X14X30 is only a bit over 4 cu. ft. Even a single oven element typically rated at 3000 watts would heat this in 2-3 minutes. Actually for this size a 1000 watt 120 volt element(8.5 amps) would be adequate.

I would use the toaster oven parts. Your biggest concern will be the ability to closely control the temperature.

That is why I was planning on using the large oven for parts. I was thinking I could use the thermostat to control the temperature no matter which heating elements I use.
Thanks

Another question for you if you don't mind. How do you figure, how many watts you need for the sq ft. of area
Thanks again

This lets you calculate based upon oven size and temp desired.

There's a better calculator imo than the heater shop one. It's excel based and listed in the BTU calculator sticky at the top of this forum. If you want to use the heater shop calculator, enter average insulation, versus good, for a better indicator of the watts required.

I also have kept track of the size ovens being build and the wattage people are using as a real life reference.
