Location of control box

I'm new here and as always, thank you for willing to share your experience and knowledge. I have a question about the location of the controls. Would it interfere with the PID, SSr or Contactor if I located them about 6" above the door? I have an industrial type refrigerator that has about a foot and a half open space on top (the compressor, fans and stuff was located there). I would use about 3"s of semi-rigid mineral wool between the roof and the controls. Is this a bad idea? And yes, the old foam insulation is removed and mineral wool is the new insulation.

The only concern I see would be some heat rising up to the controls when the door is opened, but other than that as long as the controls are visible and accessible I don't see any other issue.

Thanks Ed_Denu. This stuff is new to me and I don't have a clue. When I finish my frig-oven, I'll post some pictures. Thanks, again.
