    Default Ceramic oven

    Hello all
My first post here, been reading for a year or so. My question is. What would be involved with setting up and oven for ceramic curing. I already have a old I.T switcher rack and would like to start on an oven to heat up to the full cure of ceramics. So does the insulation have to be double? More elements to heat quicker? What are the suggestions to get me on the right track. Any and all help will be appreciated.

On the second question. I was able to pick up a vibration table. This was used to test and destroy different equipment that was being shipped out. It was part of a series of testing done for different companies. It is about 2ft by 4 ft. It has an adjustable switch to go from 0 to 9 It shakes or vibrates really crazy like. I was wondering it I could set this up to do the polishing of the ceramics.

    Thanks

    Moose

I'm looking to build a burn off oven that will need to get to 800-900 degrees so it would have some of the requirements you are looking for. I'm going to build the walls 6" versus 3.5 and use rock wool insulation. More elements to heat quicker? I would add some additional wattage as any oven is going to have some heat loss, so yes I would look to add a little more wattage. What are the suggestions to get me on the right track. Any and all help will be appreciated.

Sorry, I can't help on the vibrating table question.
