Default Ice cube relay DPDT Anyone know anything about them?

I am trying to find out how a relay will work to turn on a buzzer and light once my timer has hit OFF in the powder cooking cycle I don't want to turn elements off as I have it Manually wired to the master switch just want some notification if I am around the corner working on more parts...

Any help or a link where I can get an illistration on relays and samples of how they are wired would be great Thanks so much

Don't know what it has to do with ice cubes but more info on your TIMER would help. You may not need a relay.

Hey freezerburn I don't know how familiar you are with these things so I'll assume not much just so we cover everything. DPDT - double pole double throw. These relays come in many control voltages.
So you will need to find out what voltage you will use coming off your timer ie 12vdc,120vac,220vac or whatever. Does your timer have an output other than turning off/on your elements. So once you figure how to control your relay the rest is quite simple. On a DPDT relay you'll have 8 terminals -
2 for your COIL (control voltage)
6 for switching - 2 marked C or Common this is where your voltage to turn your buzzer and light
    plug into
2 marked NC or Normally closed - when the relay is not energized your circuit
is completed using this set of contactors
2 marked NO or Normally opened - when the relay is not energized your circuit
is NOT completed using this set of contactors - so if use this set of contactors
when the relay energizes the light and buzzer comes on
to tell you how to exactly hook it up it you're set up we'll need more info on how its wired up hopefully
this helps you out a little. Also you can go to Allied Electronics ? Electronic Parts and Components Distributor and searrch for relays and most times
you can get tech info and schematics of the relay you're looking for

Thanks for your responze but I figured it out. The ice cube is the small clear relay..able to see all the internals looks like a ice cube and the timer is just a manual single pole single throw mechanical 60 min wall timer..
