Default Pregnant Kiln?

Found several pottery kilns on ebay ....was wondering if these could be used efficiently enough for a heat source and simply build a larger encloser around them? Specifically Paragon Electric Kiln Model S1193,120volts, 17 amps, 2040 watts, Max Temp 2300 F. The dimensions are 11" diameter and 9" depth. Surely this could heat a well insulated enclosure nicely. BTW ...the starting bid on ebay was $99. Just a random suggestion.

Usually, it's more work and $ to adapt than it is to build from scratch!
