I kept both elements low since heat rises. I have since added the fan through the top providing a upward draw and circulates down the sides. Like a ceiling fan
in winter. As for the wiring I just kept pretty much every thing that was there in the original stove. Adding the second broil element to the same circuit as the standard element by piggy backing it off the same wires. The wiring for the stove top elements was not needed so I opened the control compartment and removed the wires from there. This helped to clean things up a bit. The added fan was wired off the light switch so when you turn the light on they both run. It has been working great so far. And sure produces a nice product.

P.S. Yes you can run it just as wired if you wish. By me adding the broil element to the same circuit as the bake element didn't really change anything since the self cleaning model has the thermostat rated for both elements on at once. As during a normal cleaning cycle. Feel free to ask any question I can help you out with.

Hacked it out with a screwdriver. Once you crack it you can grab it and rip it out. The foam insulation under it isn't fireproof so it has to go. That took a lot of time. I used a air chisel with a flat blade welded to it to do that. Wear proper respiration mask as you don't want to be breathing that ****. It also gets into everything.
Have fun.

Forget the name/brand but it was new in 1990. It had a plastic liner and foam insulation. Removed both and was good to go.

was it a freezer / fridge or just a full fridge? these seems like a good idea but my buddy is saying he wants to make one out of wood and insolate it but i think hes crazy for think a few piees of wood can be placed and lined and be ok.

It was a freezer/fridge. Simply opened the bend of the metal on both the bottom of the freezer door and the top of the fridge door and pop riveted them together.
Yeah I'll post a few pics of the steps along the way.
Ken.
I'll add them in a bit.

Okay here is the step by step process I took to do this. Here goes.
Ken

First the original fridge.
Then I removed the guts and plastic liner.

That leaves you with foam and more foam. Doors were just hacked out with screwdrivers/putty knives. The body I got a little more aggressive with.
