I removed the liner and slid some pipe stand offs over the bolts you saw in the previous pictures. Laid in the insulation then reinstalled the liner. Bolted it all up. Sorry no pictures of this part since was on my own working with fiberglass. Remember to wear proper safety equipment when handling insulation.
Ken. Found a couple sorta pictures. Picture of thermometer reading shows insulation in oven. (Don't freak over temp, was temping the element at the time) How it looks with the flashing installed. |

The original oven controls were mounted on the top front of the unit. Digital have to like it.
Added in the original light. The copper tube in center is for the fan shaft to come through. The dark spot to the right of that on the back is the thermal probe. Both light and probe from donor oven. Last edited by Hobweld; 12-03-2006 at 02:26 AM. |

Added a cam action latch.
Both elements were used, placed in the bottom. They work fine since the original oven was a self cleaning oven. The original control can handle running both off the same circuit. Wiring this was a breeze. Simply mark wires as you remove them from the donor oven. I opened the control panel and removed the wires going to the top burners since they were not needed. I saved the broil circuit just taped them off and stuffed them back int he panel. If it is ever needed it is there. Wired the light and fan off same "light" switch on front panel. Easy to do. Basic electricity. Wire both elements in parallel and your ready to plug it in and test it out. That is about it. Any questions give a shout. Ken |
