Default wire spicing

When you guys are wiring multiple elements are you splicing one side of the element to be able to have one wire to the contactor or using seperate runs to the contactor? I guess that means more than one wire connected to one side of the contactor? (4 elements= 4 wires at the contactor)

Thanks Everyone!!!
