Exclamation Started my new 4'x4'x6' oven..

Started my new oven..

It will be 4'x4'x6'
started frame , it will be 2''x2'' steel box tubing.
2'' mineral wool insulation from McMASTER CARR .

right now i just have the frame tack welded.
I will update with pics and info as i go..

any suggestions on what heating elements are best to use for this size oven ?
I need to stay below 60-amps if possible.

Here's a frame pic so far..

looking good bro. as for elements i cant say where to get them but this calculator will help you size them for the oven http://www.heatershop.com/btu_calculator.htm
at 400 degree rise in temp 7000watts of elements should be enough and that should give you a 32 amp draw. most oven elements i have seen come in the 2000-3000 watt range so 3 2500 watts would be 7500, more than enough. that would be a 35 amp draw and you can run that on a 40 amp circuit for a almost 20 percent safety factor. hope this helps. best of luck bro.

I got the frame all welded up tonight , just need to ad a few more braces in the bottom ,one on each side and the back. and ad a heavy duty one in middle on the top to hang parts (cycle frames) from.

also got the door frame done. I did the door with 1''x2'' box tubing.

calling tomorrow to order my sheetmetal .

here's a door frame pic..

Thanks..

Here's a pic of my recirculation fan setup. I have about $15 in parts, got the fan free from a buddie who works for HVAC company.

And a pic of a removable lower rack i made .

Still need to install the elements and all the wiring. thats if i can ever find the correct wiring diagram for the "EBAY'' controller/contactor/thermocoupler that "STAN" sells..
