Re: 7'x6'x5' outdoor oven build.
Iam wondering how the Hardi backer works.You used it insted of sheet metal.I have my 3x4x7 oven framed up and looking for a cheaper way to sheet the inside and out.I planed on using 14 gu sheet on the inside and 5/8 drywall on the out side but cheaper the better.I think 3 3000 watt elments will work what to you think. thanks

I havn't got the door on yet, but have power, light and heat in the oven. The walls are lined with Hardi. 1/2" stuff. Looks like it is gona be great. I think it needs a paint sealer though. it's fibourus, and will probibally dust off over time. I was thinking using VHT engine paint, the high heat flame proof stuff. White, to brighten it up. I'll get more pics up soon
