Is your thermostat acctually able to switch 50 amps
Are you asking what kind of MAIN off/on switch to use? If you have a rated Tstat to do the job, then just use the sircut breaker that feeds the oven ? That's what I do. Or else, you can have a remote 60 amp switch installed, but there pretty pricy. But, in reality, if you have a control device controlling the high heating current, and your htermostat runs off 120Volt(like contactors do) then you just need a light switch to supply the T stat voltage that will, in turn controll the contactor to heat the elements. Home ranges are usually rated for 30 amps
