Default Newbie oven building question...

Hey guys.....great forum here--I read all the time, just never had a reason to post till now.

I just picked up a freezer (floor type--not upright) that i am planning to turn into an oven. I have a question (remember--total newbie here) about metal to line the inside of it with.....

Can I just get a hold of an old fridge, freezer, or oven and use the exterior metal for the inside of the oven I am trying to build? I figure as long as I strip the finish off, I should be good.

Am I way off base here or what?

Also, what can I use as far as a gasket for the door?

thanks in advance.

Thanks holeshot87.....that does help. I'm getting a gun for Christmas and I want to get started ASAP. I have a lot of people that want stuff coated as soon as I'm ready.

Hopefully next weekend I'll get started on this thing--I have college finals this week. I'll post pics of the project as it coems together.
