Question any ideas???

If you read my other post, you know I got a hold of a freezer that I will be using to make an oven. In my previous post, I asked about lining the freezer. As it turns out, the freezer is already lined with metal (talk about dumb luck!).

My probelm now is, the outer shell and inner shell are insulated with an expanding styrofoam insulation type susbstance. Any ideas on how i can seperate the outer and inner shells to enable use of the proper insulation? It seems that this styrofoam stuff is bonded to both shells.

I'm open to ANY idea.

From my experience, you pretty much have to scrape it out. Hammer and chisel or wide putty knife. If you have compressed air available, an air hammer and chisel should make quick work of it. Either way it'll be a messy job. Little specs of insulation EVERYWHERE. Like a snow machine that puts out yellow snow flakes..lol Have any pics?

I'll try to get pics up tomorrow before I go to work. After some thought last night and talking to a few people at work, it seems that the Shop-Vac and chisel idea might be the best way to go.
