what kind of insulation can i use in a home made oven that can withstand the heat

i used house insulation in my oven. i call owen's and there said the insulation would withstand the heat very easy. if u buy the paper back type take if off. hope this helps .

I used Owen's Corning, I thing it was #703 2" ridge. I think it's easyer to work with.

I used mineral wool pn *9328K43 from www.mcmaster.com
It's inexpensive, firm, cuts easily, and doesn't make a fiberglass cloud when you cut it. And it handles 1000 deg F.
