I got this as a rusty double walled flammable cabinet out of the Want Ads for $50. I tore down my oven and reused everything. I also ordered another bake element 2600watts, so I am running 2 2600 and 1 3100 watt elements off the stock therm/contactor. The only thing I had to change was crimp on a spade 10/12ga connector and run 12ga wire from the contactor to where all the elements tie in. I bought a motor and a fan at an electrical supply outlet and made that work, it was hi-temp rated so that worked out well. I used r-13 insulation and heating duct fiberboard on the front doors, attaching it with stove&fiberglass caulk from ace. I also bought a pint of furnace cement and filled all seams. I used 600degree black rtv to seal where the temp probe comes in, in case I need to remove it. I bought furnace gasket by the foot at ace hardware to seal the doors and sealed with gasket cement. The hang bar came in already. The fan is crucial. Without it I had a long wait for 400 now it takes about 20 mins. and it will do 550.( I went inside and played Counter Strike and lost track of time.). I used self tapping sheet metal screws and double ended bits and a 1/4 hex driver and really like the results. Unlike rivets you can just screw them out. For wiring I just disconnected all I didn't need and used the schematics here(basically just hooking the elements together.) I have been reading like crazy here while building this and appreciate all the help people give. Just wanted to give some back. Hope this helps someone.

The light switch above the control panel controls the fan. I pulled 110 off the end of the range cord where it ties in to a junction and ran a short ground off the top to itself with a sheet metal screw. I didn't want to pull anymore power threw the internals off the oven controls.

After using a few times it works real well. I would recommend a sealer applied with a caulking gun. Where I spread the furnace cement on flat metal ( I applied it with a spatula) it has nothing to adhere to and will fall off. In the seams it's fine. It takes closer to 30 minutes for 400, but then no problem. The double walled cabinet posed a couple problems insulating the front. I might build a open sided box for the inside for the fan to move all the air sideways, other than that works like a charm. The oven light works so I can used the dial to get an approx. temp (turn it lower when it clicks off i know the range) and the clock and timer functions work. So far so good...
