Nice work. looks like your getting it where you want it. I think the two doors is a good thing, course that's how mine is.

got my windows mocked up into one of the side walls. need some high temp silicone and some bolts to finish fastening them.

tied up a few other loose ends while i was at it.

now i just need to find 2 more elements, some casters and get the insulation. i can't assemble the panels until my base is complete.

will get some pics later.

the door is just a big square to cover the entire opening. i should have probably made it in 2 sections.

since the framing is only steel studs, and not SUPER strong, i will probably put a piano hinge on one side, and on the latch side, a small support wheel so the door isn't actually hanging from the hinge.

yea, on the opposite side of the hinge, like a large gate would have.

other side view of the windows. both came from ovens, one has a much easier/better mounting sysem...

the other, i had to make a custom mount out of some steel stud pieces...

i used some high temp silicone on the mating surface to the steel and used it to glue the outside pane into the frame. the interior pane is sandwiched between the steel and the mounting frame, then the air gap, then the outside pane.

i broke down and ordered 4 matching elements. $11 each, shipped. 2800w each. i could have found 2 more used elements, but these one should be narrow enough to mount them all on the same side of the oven. w/ the oven elements i have, the bake elements are so wide, i would have put 2 elements on each side of the oven, which isn't a big deal, just less convenient for wiring.

i also added a 2nd switch and a timer to the control box. 2nd switch is to have the timer active/inactive.

once i get the elements and find some insulation, i can put it all together...but i still don't have power to the barn.
