I'd try to keep the total current draw when you're in your "max power mode" to under 50 amps.
Four 2700 or 2800 watt elements on at startup for a total current draw of (4*2800=11,200 watts). That's 11,200/240=46.6 amps. Then you can cut back to just two elements once you're at temperature. Then you can safely use a 50 amp range plug and receptacle without fear of overheating your power cord and starting a fire. KC |

Thanks for your input. I will follow your advice and not run the 80 amps through a wall plug.
I'll keep both controls but just use one as a back up untill I can hard wire the to a breaker box. Thanks again. |
