Default Insulation Question

Using 3.5 studs is the 2" mineral wool at mcmaster that says its rated at 1000 deg good enough?

That is basically the same thing as what I've got from McMaster Carr. It's made from the same stuff. What's the cost of it compared to McMaster?

well in 4" which is double the McMaster, who sells 2x4 sheets for $10, so to get 4" it would cost you $20 a 2x4 sheet, this per 2'x4'x4" sheet is only $2.87 at my local supplier.
