I know many are looking for mineral wool. I just found this place if it helps. The guy said it is made my Roxul. http://www.atsacoustics.com/cat--Raw...ials--102.html Price didn't seem to bad, if your like me with no local sources.

mc-master carr sell them also

or a drywall supply store usually carrys it also.

some people say you can get away with regular unbatted fibreglass insulation...but, personally, i don't trust it due to the low temp of the pink stuff.

check this stuff out

IIG MinWool-1200 Safing

$2.75 for a 2'x4'x4" sheet

McMaster wants $20 for the same thickness

my bad, it's $5.75 sheet but it is 4" so you don't have to double up like with the McMaster.

that is more expensive than mine...it was $30 for 6 sheets from a dry wall supplier

yea but McMaster is 2" so you would need double to match
