Finally got a chance to work on the oven some more.

Here's a shot that shows the insulation, some wiring, and some of the 1/4" hardy backer board outside covering.

Here's a pic of the door seal installed. I did a double rope seal because the rope I bought only came in 25' rolls. I'm sure a single seal would have been enough.

I have a bunch of pics. Anything you want in particular?

I've never framed with steel studs before and found it to be pretty easy. I found that using sheet metal screws was by far the fastest and easiest way to assemble.

Smile Re: Pics of my budget oven build.

Hello bottlefed70, cheers for your quick reply.since writing askin for more pics,my very good friend at work is going to get me the sheet metal i need,he is a metal smith and gets it cheap via work..oops! naughty naughty! i told him about your filing cabinet idea, so if i show him a series of pics (all during working hours at work of course!) he can then do all the calculations and the metal work etc. then when i am up to doing the other bits and bobs i will read up or ask for advice form you experts.pity i cant find a bigger filing cabinet or up right fridge etc...once complete the oven will be located in one of my workshops at work don't worry i will look after the electric consumption...honest.
many thanks again
grommit.
