Thumbs up parts cleaner

does someone know a good parts cleaner. before i powder coat a part i have been using brake cleaner. .is there something easier to use then brake cleaner and better? thanks

thats what i use. Lacquer works well also. If any question on how clean the part is pre heat the part first so it does not outgas. this process seems to work for me.......good luck

I have used Paint shop Metal Prep, Alcohol, EW Pre as long as it has NO petroleum in it. I also use Simple Green to do cleaning and then wipe it down with any of the ones I listed. They all seem to work. Just before you shoot the powder on, use a small propane torch and just quickly go over the part to get rid of the fuzzies and dust that collects on the part. Don't get it to hot. The little sparks you will see are the fuzzies getting burned up.

Akline base cleaner works real good, this is what you can do, Call a local air conditon suplly house a place where they sell air condition parts, tell them or go by and pick up some "coil cleaner " that stuff works great , you buy by the gallon You then delete it down works real good It will go a ong way ,,, This stuff is what i use,,

Simple Green...

i do alot of motorcycle parts, i use a 2800psi pressure washer then i use paper towels and simple green then torch it
