Ok I am totally new at this and just getting started. Ive done some reading here and have a couple questions. When using or looking for a house oven to cure in is one brand better than others or does one have a more consistant temp than others? I ask only because working for a company that replaces ovens all the time there is sometimes a surplus of them lying around before taken to the dump. Ok now what mods can be done to a residential oven to make it more efficient for curing use? Other than the addition like the pregnant oven better insulation or better controler, seal the top where the burners or use 2 broilers instead of only the one in it?
Thanks for tolerating my questions. |

They're all about the same. I'd try to find one that is as big as possible.
It's nice if the oven has a large window... also digitally controlled thermostats/ovens tend to have less swing in temperature. You shouldn't need to perform any mods to an oven. |
