Default Digital Controller and SSR Questions?

I have a SET620 Digital Temperature Controller and a 75Amp SSR. I am somewhat confused about the specs and how to wire it. My controller says 85-285VAC or DC. My question is: do I need to attach both hot legs to get 240VAC, or will one hot leg and a nuetral work for 120VAC? I don't really see where to attach the nuetral on my schematic. I am also confused about the output on the controller. It says 8Volt output for the SSR. Is this AC or DC? My SSR is 3-32VDC input, so AC won't work but how does it turn the AC input into DC output? Any help would be appreciated. I will be using 4 2500Watt elements.

Can't ell you to much about your controller, mine is a barger-coleman. And I used a contactor instead of an SSR. I do have one for my next oven. But I used the neutral and hot lead for 120 vac. My schematic is attached. But it's for a points contactor, not ssr, but should help you with some of your wuestions. I hope.

Thanks! I think I will just run 120VAC to the controller. Seems kinda sinsless to run 240VAC when all it's gonna do is switch the SSR on and off. That is done with just 8Volts! I just hope the voltage coming out is DC voltage so the SSR will work. I guess i'll check it with a DVM. Thanks again!

Yes, the controller output on the SCR pins is DC. Make sure the specs on your SCR indicate that it draws less than ~40ma and you use the correct +/- on both your controller and the SCR. Your diagram is correct for one heater. When you wire the other three, wire them in parallel. You'll be drawing about 42 amps so make sure your circuits will handle the load.
