Hello fmahone cheers for your repy, i dont want to exactly go down the path of buying the parts if i can get a donor oven.it'll be a few weeks til the electrician comes back as he is doing it for nothing.
at least i have learnt more each time about PID and SSR. many thanks once again for your help. regards, Brian
