I don't know if there are any special requirements. With powder you are attempting to keep the powder from floating out and getting into everything. So with an exhaust fan and filters you can trap most of the powder within the spray area.

I have been over this in my head so many times as well.
Explosion proof would be ideal. You could use a 20" box ban with a filter on it . Barn fans I have searched high and low for a simple and inexpensive filter system and I still don't have one. |
