Default Powder Coating Spray Booths

I was looking on the internet about the spray booths for powder coating. Can you use a regular paint booth for powder coating or do you have to have something special for the powder? Thanks

I don't know if there are any special requirements. With powder you are attempting to keep the powder from floating out and getting into everything. So with an exhaust fan and filters you can trap most of the powder within the spray area.
Here is a picture of a small powder booth I made.

i have seen filtration units that are intended for both powder and wet paint. i think it required a filter change. paint filters tend to be much coarser than powder filters. since paint sticks to the filter fibers, the fibers can be pretty loose. and if the fibers were fine like powder filters, they would clog very quickly.

I have been over this in my head so many times as well.
Explosion proof would be ideal.
You could use a 20" box ban with a filter on it .
Barn fans
I have searched high and low for a simple and inexpensive filter system and I still don't have one.

yeah, i considered exlosion-proof last night... often i think motors are isolated from the flow path, though.
